Physician Bios
Dr. Jessica McKelvey, Director
Dr. McKelvey is a graduate of Rice University and the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston. She completed her residency at the Memorial Southwest Family Medicine program where she was the Chief Resident. She then practiced in a private practice for six years prior to coming to Rice University in 2006. Dr. McKelvey became the Director of Student Health Services in 2017. She is board certified in Family Medicine (recertified 2017). She is an associate at Will Rice College.
Dr. Kelly Castro
Dr. Castro is a graduate of the University of Texas at Austin. She attended UTMB Medical School. She completed her residency and served as Chief Resident at the Memorial Southwest Family Medicine program. She worked in private practice for many years before joining Rice University in 2017. She is board certified in Family Medicine (recertified 2017).
Dr. LeCresha Peters
Dr. Peters is a graduate of The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston. She completed her residency training at the Memorial Southwest Family Medicine program. She was in private practice prior to joining Rice University in 2017. She is board certified in Family Medicine (recertified in 2018).
Dr. Jennifer Trotter
Dr. Trotter is a graduate of Trinity University and Texas Tech University School of Medicine. She completed her residency in Pediatrics at The Floating Hospital for Children at the New England Medical Center. She worked in private practice for 20 years before joining Rice University in 2022. She is board certified in Pediatrics (recertified 2012). She also served as the Jones College Magister for 5 years.
